Help:Choosing a Title

Choosing a Title for your WikiHealth article is important, as it is the title that defines content and attracts readers. Here are some guidelines to help you choose a good title:
- Titles should be succinct and clear. It is best to keep them less than a sentence long.
- Make sure to CAPITALIZE the first letter of the first word and then LOWERCASE the first letter of each subsequent word. For example, an article about high blood pressure, should be called "High blood pressure" rather than "High Blood Pressure." This makes it easy to create consistent links.
- Note: You may capitalize the first letter of other words in the title if you are referring to a proper name, an organization a city or some such thing that requires capitalization. For example, it is ok to title an article: "Dietary recommendations for cancer by the Food and Drug Administration" rather than "Dietary recommendations for cancer by the food and drug administration".
- They should be descriptive enough such that any WikiHealth visitor can understand what the article is about.
- These are title of articles, not novels; it is better if they are straight-forward rather than witty or overly playful.
- It is VERY important that words are spelled correctly and appropriate capitals are used. You or other users may refer to your article in other places and the title becomes the key part of the link to the article. Make sure that the title is logical enough for this purpose.
