Help:Logging in

Before you can Log In, you must create a User Identity. However, you do not have to Log In to read or edit articles in WikiHealth- anyone can edit almost any page, even without logging in.

Why log in?

Your user experience is significantly better if you are logged in. Here are some of the benefits:

• You will receive credit for your contributions regardless of where you log in from.
• You will have your own User Page where you can write a bit about yourself.
• You will be able to mark an edit as minor, which makes tracking of edits easier.
• You will be able to keep track of changes to modules you are interested in using a Watchlist.
• If you give an email address, other users will be able to contact you by email. Note that your email address will remain anonymous - as users will not be able to see your email address. (Giving an email address is not required.)
• You will be able to rename pages.
• You will be able to set your own preferences.

How to log in

1. First, make sure that your browser accepts cookies. You may need to configure your browser to accept cookies.
2. Click on the Log in link at the top right of the page. You will then be prompted to enter your username and password.
3. If you click the box Remember my password across sessions, you will not have to give your password again from that computer. This feature will only work if you change the system generated password to your own.

How to log out

You can log out any time by clicking on the Log out link at the top right of the page.

Log in problems

• Make sure your cookies are enabled.
• Makes sure that you have not placed WikiHealth on a list of sites that block cookies.
• Make sure your computer's date and time are set correctly; if they are not, cookies may expire before they are supposed to.
• Make sure you have changed to a custom password. When the system emails replacement passwords certain functions are disabled.
