Help:User page

All WikiHealth members that create their own user accounts also get assigned their own User page. This page allows each user to provide:

• An introduction and/or brief profile about themself.
• a User Talk page that acts as a communication medium for conversing and collaborating with other WikiHealth members.
• A personal sandbox to work on projects or ideas prior to posting them as an official article on WikiHealth.

Introduction

Members usually provide a few paragraphs describing themselves. This outline might include:

• Areas of interest or hobbies
• Profession
• Health interests and knowldge
• Personal health story
• Photos: The member is encouraged to attach a photo or two of themself or significant things in their life.

However, remember that User pages are not personal home pages or photo albumns. Overloaded User pages are considered inappropriate and might be asked to be modified or taken down.

The User page also includes statistics of contributions that the member has made to the site.

User talk page

There is a tab at the top of every User page that goes to the User talk page. This page makes a great communication medium to post questions about articles, edits and specific health stuff.

You can also email other users directly from their Talk pages. However, communicating via Talk pages can be more effective as some members chose not to provide their email address.

Personal sandbox

WikiHealth members can use their User page for outlining new content ideas for WikiHealth. You might also find it useful to post your TODO or organization lists here or any regularly accessed verbiage or tools you need to make using Wiki markup easier.

Note that it is easy for other users to edit, delete and change your User talk page. However, it is considered bad form to do so.
