What is a Watchlist?
When you are logged into WikiHealth, you have the ability to add pages to your 'Watchlist.' By doing this, you are able to log on at any time to see what changes or edits have been made to the page or article that you added to your watchlist. This allows you to see the list of articles that you are intersted in and track them. Note, you must be logged in to both mark things for 'watch' and to access your 'Watchlist.'
How to "Watch" a page?
You can only 'watch' a page if you are logged in to WikiHealth. There are 2 ways to watch a page:
- Click the 'Watch' tab at the top of the page.
- Once you make an edit, check 'Watch this page' box at the bottom of the page, before the 'Save' button.
How does the Watchlist work?
- Each line of the watchlist shows details about the last edit to a page you have added to your watchlist.
- Only the last edit is shown- whether it is major or minor.
- Each line shows details about the last edit: the day, the time, a link to the page, type of edit (minor or major), the change between the current version and the previous one, the history, the user name and the edit summary.
- It will only include edits made within the last three days.
- In order to see all the edits made to your watched page, you need to click on the 'history' link within the line detail.
- In Recent Changes your 'watched' pages are bolded. Thus, you can access your Watchlist in the overall 'Recent Changes' page without having to go to you Watchlist to check their status.
- To remove a page from your 'Watchlist' click the 'Unwatch' tab located on the top of the page that was marked for watching.
- You can also 'watch' a page that does not yet have an active or working link. Simply add it to your watch list and check on its status over time.
